"Identity" wasn't bad. It wasn't as good as last week but it wasn't bad. As usual, fast forwarding through the Lois scenes doesn’t affect the plot at all.
Clark was really panicking this episode. And each time he ran to talk to his best friend and confidante, Chloe Sullivan. Clark really is lousy at lying. His realization that people are awed by the Good Samaritan and need hope was sweet.
Chloe’s speech to Clark about using an alias and "writers use pen names all the time" was so Chloisy. Yes, Chloe, writers use pen names all the time. And you may take one in the future. It’s the only way "Lois Lane" will become Clark’s best friend, confidante, and soulmate.
Jimmy "The Egyptians" Olsen was actually likable and smart! Whoa. Who would have thought? Stay away from Chloe and concentrate on the pictures and the DP.
Ollie had the fastest crisis of faith possible. Blink and you’d miss it. It was all in Offscreensville. Oh, well. Welcome back, GA. He was still kind of pissy toward Clark. Not cool.
Tess' plan to get the crystal was rather dumb. Tess told two people about the crystal - Clark and Chloe - but she randomly decides that Lois has the crystal. Then instead of having Lois' apartment searched, she arranges for Lois to get mugged?! Does she really believe that Lois keeps the crystal in her purse? Tess then decides to go after Jimmy. Why? What makes her think Jimmy even knows about the existance of the crystal? Totally random and dumb.
Lois – ah, Lois. Where to begin? The death anvils are still coming. I love them. Writers, please don’t just tease. Follow through. She dolls herself up to go "undercover" to find out about Sebastian when she has a flash drive with proof and all the information on him. Pretty stupid. She then vows to steal Jimmy’s story of get an interview with the Good Samaritan. Jimmy already did the theorizing and research. If anyone deserves an interview, it’s Jimmy. STFU, Lois.
Jimmy and Lois walk along the street; it’s dark. Lois tells Jimmy that she writes news stories not fairytales. They are discussing Jimmy’s Good Samaritan assertion. Jimmy replies that it’s as real as it gets but admits that he doesn’t have a picture or a name yet. Lois insists that the only crime fighter she knows wears green leather and plays with arrows. She believes he’s hung up his bow. Jimmy insists that this is the kind of story that careers are made of and this guy is light years beyond bows-and-arrows. Very strange. Mythos-wise, Lois Lane is the only one sure that the superhero exists and everyone else is skeptical. On SV, Lois is skeptical and isn’t even a bit curious about the police reports of a Good Samaritan. Lois says that without a photo it’s like a 5-part expose on the toothfairy. Jimmy is sure Clark will jump at the chance to write the story. He thinks Lois is too much of a cynic for an uplifting piece about a hero. Lois doesn’t think Clark will be interested. He’s not a hack, she says. Jimmy is surprised that Lois paid Clark a compliment. So am I.
Suddenly a thug comes out of nowhere, slugs Jimmy and waves a knife at Lois. He orders her to give him her purse. Lois tells him that he’s robbing the wrong chick. She kicks the knife out of his hand and they fight. Lois forgot all her 3rd degree black belt training because she removes his mask and holds him. She yells for Jimmy, who’s on the floor, to take a picture of his face. Clark arrives on the scene. The thief throws Lois into the path of an oncoming car. Clark goes into superspeed. Clark knocks the thief, pauses to look at Jimmy taking the picture, and rescues Lois. Lois looks at the thief on the ground. She pats herself on the back. "I knew I got a lick in", she brags. Poor deluded Lois. Jimmy looks at the pic he just took. "It’s him", he says.
Daily Planet: Clark walks over to Jimmy. He looks like he’s really nervous. He asks Jimmy what’s going on. Jimmy says that Clark may want to sit for what he’s about to show him. Clark opts to stand. Jimmy puts up a picture of Clark’s save the night before. There’s a red blur where Clark supersped into and out of the picture. Jimmy looks like the cat that swallowed the canary. Clark approaches the pic with caution. He asks what he looking at. Jimmy explains that it’s a person moving so fast that he’s out of focus. Clark thinks that it’s a reflection on the lens of a police car driving by. Jimmy doesn’t think so. Clark tells Jimmy that a person can’t move that fast. Jimmy counters that they’ve both seen their share of the bizarre and unexplained in the last 2 years. Clark says it’s strange that Lois didn’t mention this last night. You mean they had supper and Jimmy didn’t mention the Good Samaritan story to Clark? Jimmy says that she doesn’t believe; she thinks it’s her lightning fast reflexes that came to her rescue. Clark finds it strange that Lois didn’t feel a thing when the blur saved her. Jimmy says that that’s how good he is. He’s sure that it’ll make the front page. Clark doesn’t think Tess would be interested. Jimmy says that she was mighty interested. He adds that Tess agreed that Clark should write the copy. Clark is upset that Jimmy didn’t ask him first. Jimmy says that he’s doing Clark a favor. He says that he’s been in Lois’ shadow ever since he came to the Planet. Huh? Jimmy came to the DP a year before Lois. Lois hadn’t met the Luthor clone that hired/banged her yet. I think Jimmy must mean Chloe’s shadow. Now that makes sense. Jimmy thinks that he and Clark will make names for themselves. Clark says that he’d rather be stuck in Lois’ shadow than make a spotlight for a make belief story. Me thinks he doth protest too much. Jimmy tells Clark to think about it and not to mention it to Lois. Hey, Jimmy, you already mentioned it to Lois. She wasn’t interested. Unless you mean that she’d be interested now that it’ll get her name published. Clark vows to tell no one... except Chloe.
At the DP, Lois is on the phone with the police. She asks how a violent criminal goes free. She says that she’s heard of bail. She threatens to take it to the mayor but the call is disconnected before she finishes the threat. A Jonas Brother look-alike comes up to Lois. He calls her "legendary". Yes, in her own mind. Lois says that she’s seen him before. He introduces himself as Sebastian Kane – new city reporter. They shake hands. There’s a flashback of Lois on the phone. Lois boasts that the crime rate is so high, there’s no vacancy in county jail. Seb says that it’s tame compared to where he’s been. "Really. The gates of Hell" quips Lois. "Iraq" replies Seb. He was an embedded journalist. Lois is impressed. She says that she was embedded since birth. She’s an army brat. Sebastian suggests Lois show him the city. He asks her out to dinner. Lois says that her calendar is full but she’s free tonight.
Luthor manor: Tess stands looking at the stained glass window. Seb comes up behind her and touches her shoulder. Flashback to Tess crying a few moments before. Tess warns him not to touch her again. She asks if Lane took the crystal. Huh? Tess has told two people about it: Clark and Chloe. Why does she think that Lois has it? Seb replies that it’ll take more than a handshake. Tess suggests he get a little more intimate. That shouldn’t take long. Seb says that he’s done being Tess’ personal peeping Tom. Tess thinks that for a memory thief, Seb’s recall is spotty. She reminds him that she released him from Black Creek. Seb yells that he’s repaid that favor three different times. He says that Lois is a good person and he won’t steal her memories. He got that from army brat; a threat to go to the mayor; and a dinner date? Wow. Tess reminds him that she knows what a sick, voyeuristic predator he is. That he stalked and killed women before he was brought to Black Creek. Seb replies that it was before he could control his ability. His ability is to read people’s thoughts. He did the stalking and killing. What a loser. He wants a fresh start. Tess says that he’ll have it when he gets her the crystal. She threatens to call her law enforcement buddies to tells them about the trail of bodies in Seb’s wake. Yeah, Seb sounds like a swell guy *rolls eyes*.
Isis Foundation: Chloe is escorting a member out when Clark comes in. Clark says that he needs to talk to Chloe. Chloe asks if it’s about Jimmy’s snapshot. Clark asks if Chloe deleted it. Chloe says that she wanted to talk to Clark first. Clark doesn’t understand what’s to talk about. He doesn’t want his picture land on every doorstep in Metropolis. Chloe doesn’t think anyone will connect the smudge on the lens to Clark. Clark says that people will know he’s out there. Chloe asks why this is a bad thing. She says that they live in dangerous times. If people know that there is someone out there; someone saving lives; it could mean a lot. Clark reminds her that this is his secret they are talking about. He adds that if people find out, it’s dangerous for him and for the people who know him. Chloe thinks that Jimmy is giving Clark a perfect alter ego. Go, Chloe! She says that it’s called an alias. "Writers have been writing under pen names since the invention of the alphabet". Chloe thinks Clark should have one of his own. Clark replies that it’s not a debate. They have to protect his identity. Chloe reminds Clark that she never goes against his wishes when it comes to his secret but the picture doesn’t reveal anything about Clark Kent. "It gives the world something they desperately need... a hero".
Daily Planet: Tess is busy putting papers in her briefcase. Clark knocks on the door. Tess says that it better be urgent. Clark, undeterred, says that Jimmy is mistaken; he is not interested in writing the Good Samaritan story. Tess is surprised Clark isn’t interested in a potential front page story. She wonders what Clark would be interested in. Clark says that it doesn’t feel right to put his name on a story based on an out-of-focus picture. Tess says that the only thing out-of-focus is the red and blue white knight. Clark replies that you can’t tell who or what it is. Tess thinks that that’s what makes it so brilliant. Brilliant – I never thought that word would be used to describe Jimmy. Tess adds that it’s full of hope with just a hint of danger. Clark says that it might sell a lot of papers but even Lex wouldn’t stoop so low. Shut up, Clark. Tess says she’s not listening to a cub reporter whose biggest byline was on a kitten adoption fair. Tess agrees to remove Clark from the story. Clark insists that it’s not a story. Tess says that it’s a tease and Jimmy is researching the story and, with a few more leads, they’ll have a face and a name.
Clark superzips into the Talon apartment. He is scanning through the mail when Lois walks up behind him. He rifles through the mail? Really, Clark? I thought you were looking for a digital image. Lois asks what Clark is doing. Clark hides the letters behind his back. Lois guesses that Clark was rifling through Jimmy’s things. Clark replies that he was getting Jimmy’s bag. Lois asks if Clark is Jimmy’s errand boy. No, Lois, only you treat Clark as if he was at your beck and call. Clark says that Jimmy is his friend. That’s more than he can say for you, bitch. Clark starts to head out when Lois asks him to zip up her dress. She’s dressed in a mini red dress that leaves little to the imagination. Clark eyes Lois’ back waringly. He looks like he’s thinking "cooties, ugh!". I don't blame you, Clark.
Finally noticing that she’s dressed up, Clark asks where she’s going. Lois replies that she’s going out on a date. She realizes that Clark is fresh off the farm but sometimes when a guy likes a girl, he asks her out. She puts her hand on his chest. STFU, Lois! Clark asks who the unlucky guy is. Lois says that she’s going out with a new reporter who, unlike new hires, is a serious journalist. Clark asks if she just met him. Lois says that the sparks were flying. She’s surprised the bullpen didn’t burn right down. Clark asks if Lois always wear so little on a first date. Lois asks if he has a problem with the way she looks. Clark replies that he’s looking out for her.
There’s a knock at the door. It’s Sebastian. He hands Lois flowers. Lois introduces Clark as one of the DP’s sharpest errand boys. STFU, Lois. Sebastian goes to shake Clark’s hand but Lois ushers Clark out and shuts the door in his face.
At the Kent farm, Clark is frantically sorting through his laundry. He’s wearing a grey and white long sleeved t-shirt. He looks positively heavenly. He grabs every red and blue garment he owns. Oh, Clark. You’re so silly and sweet. He spots his ugly red jacket and superspeeds to get it. He hears Jimmy coming and superspeeds all the laundry away. Jimmy says that once Clark sees the research he did, Clark’s going to want the byline. Clark replies that he’s not interested in the byline to a make-belief story. Jimmy thinks that the Good Samaritan originated in Smallville. Jimmy shows Clark Torch articles about mysterious saves that happened around the time Clark and Chloe were in the ninth grade. Hee. Clark asks if Chloe gave Jimmy the articles. Jimmy, hurt, replies that just because he’s a photographer doesn’t mean he doesn’t know his way around a search engine. Jimmy thinks that Clark went to school with the Good Samaritan. He adds that right around the time Clark and Chloe graduated, the mysterious incidents started occurring in Metropolis. Clark asks Jimmy for his point. Jimmy asks if anyone in Smallville High stood out. Jimmy hands Clark the Smallville High yearbook. Clark says that he can’t think of anyone. Oh why couldn’t the writers have Clark bring up Superboy from "Leech" played by Aaron’s twin brother Shawn? Jimmy could have noted the slight resemblance.
Clark adds that whoever the Good Samaritan is, shouldn’t it be up to him if he wants to come forward. Jimmy thinks that the GS might need some gentle prodding. Jimmy spots a picture of Clark and the Kents on the mantle. Clark is wearing the ugly read jacket. He looks so young and innocent. Jimmy compares the picture to his blur image. Clarks is panicking. Jimmy looks like he’s just had an "aha!" moment. Clark tells Jimmy that he’s busy and goes to open the front door. Jimmy says that it’s all so clear. That’s what Chloe and Clark have been hiding from him. Clark is the Good Samaritan! Dun dun dun!!! Ha! Jimmy "The Egyptians" Olsen figures out Clark’s secret in two days. Too funny.
At Isis, Chloe is sitting at the computer console scanning all the CRTs around her at super speed. The system overloads and crashes. A frantic Clark rushes into Isis. "Chloe, Jimmy knows my secret!" he announces. Clark adds that Jimmy put it together by looking at research and his family photos. Clark says that he denied it, told Jimmy he had chores and rushes over to Chloe. Aw, Clark. That’s just so sweet. Chloe apologizes. She had no idea Jimmy could pick Clark out of a lineup. It doesn’t help that Clark is the lousiest liar ever. The door opens and Jimmy comes in. He spots Clark. "You beat me here" he says awed. Jimmy believes that Clark blurred over to Isis. Clark looks like a deer caught in the headlights. Clark replies that he used all the shortcuts. Jimmy says he was speeding all the way. He suggests Clark show him the shortcuts on the map. Smart, Jimmy. Chloe reminds Jimmy that it’s not a witch hunt. Jimmy says that Chloe’s known all along and he assures Clark that he’s got his back. Clark insists that Jimmy is mistaken. Jimmy turns to Chloe. Chloe walks over to stand by Clark. She says that Clark is just a regular guy. Jimmy thinks that Chloe doesn’t trust him. Clark agrees that there is nothing special about him. Jimmy says that he’ll just have to prove it.
Clark whooshes over to Ollie’s jet. Inside, Ollie is drinking an entertaining a bunch of ladies. Ollie tells Clark that if he looking for a flight to Aruba he’ll have to find another plane because his plane is all full. Clark replies that Ollie’s assistant wasn’t kidding when she said Ollie was having his pre-flight drink. Clark hopes that the pilot is sober. Oliver makes a wise crack. Clark tells him that he needs to talk. Ollie says that now is not the best time. He’ll drop him a postcard. Clark insists that it’s urgent. Ollie asks the girls to give them a sec.
One of the girls eyes Clark on the way out. Did I mention the guy looks heavenly? Ollie asks about the latest crisis in Clark’s life. Clark replies that Jimmy is onto his secret. Ollie guesses that Clark is afraid that his picture will get on the front page of the DP. Ollie thinks that it would force Clark to step up a bit. Let’s see. Ollie’s has been womanizing and getting drunk and he’s lecturing Clark about stepping up. What an ass. Clark tells Ollie that GA is all but gone; Ollie always has a drink in his hand; and that Lois was mugged a couple of blocks from his place. He thinks Ollie’s the one who should step up. Clark says that he understands if Ollie’s still upset with him about not divulging that Lionel killed the Queens. He made a decision but Ollie’s the only one who can help him. Ollie promises to call when he gets back. Clark yells that there is no time. People have died because of his secret. Clark says that he can’t mind wipe the people that know his secret, he can only protect those like Jimmy. He tells Ollie to help him for Jimmy who is an innocent bystander who’ll never be the same. Ollie seems to be considering this.
Ace of Clubs: Lois and Sebastian are at a table drinking. Lois asks if Sebastian has been in any big investigations where he went undercover like in a maximum security prison. Sebastian replies that he hates tiny cells. He’s claustrophobic. Lois asks if Sebastian has ever seen the inside of a government facility. Way to be subtle, Lois. Sebastian says that the last time he was in a government facility, it was high school. He smiles. He asks if Lois has ever had her palms read. Lois says that the last one she went to see told her she was destined to fall for a guy in tights who flies a lot. Lois adds that she’s waiting for her cross-dressing pilot to make a landing. Ha! What about Oliver? He wears tights ("Wither") and he flies a lot. He even has his own plane. Sebastian takes Lois’ hand. Flashback to Lois pleased that she tricked Clark into zipping her dress; looking at Sebastian’s Black Creek file. Lois asks if she’s going to live. If natural selection has any say in it, Lois, I wouldn’t count on it.
Sebastian’s cell phone rings. He walks outside and gets into a limo. Tess is waiting for him. He tells her that Lois doesn’t have the artifact. Tess asks if Lois has anything but air in her head. Hee. Sebastian reveals that Lois knows who he is from looking at a flash drive from Black Creek. Tess says that Lois stole it from the library but since the facility’s been dismantled, there is nothing to implicate LuthorCorp. Sebastian says that Lois knows what he can do. He tells Tess to find herself a new reporter because Lois won’t be coming in to work tomorrow. Sebastian leaves. Tess calls someone on her cell. She tells them that the next target is Jimmy Olsen. Cut to a guy in a car closing his cell phone. Another guy puts a mask over his face.
Sebastian pulls up to the Talon apartment. Lois thanks him for dinner. Sebastian suggests a nightcap. Lois says she’s on a "lethal deadline". Oh, yeah, death anvil! Sebastian suggests helping her. Lois says that Spell Check is her friend. Lois leaves. As she opens the door to the apartment, Sebastian shoves her inside. He points a gun at her and tells her that he needs that flash drive.
It’s dark outside. Clark stands on the sidewalk talking on his cell. He asks if she’s ready. Chloe sits in a car with a headset on. She replies that she’s ready as she’ll ever be. She doesn’t like the idea of driving a speeding car at anyone – even Clark. Clark assures her that he’ll be saved. He reminds Chloe that it’s at 10:00 PM on the dot. Clark talks to Ollie. He asks if Ollie’s sober. Ollie says that he wishes he wasn’t. He is standing on a rooftop wearing a jacket with a hood over his head. Aw, Ollie is going Trick or Treating. Clark replies that he didn’t complain when Ollie had him dress in green leather to protect his identity. Ollie reminds him that Clark kissed his girlfriend. He’s never forgiven Clark for that. Clark tells Ollie that Jimmy will be there any minute. He warns Ollie not to screw this up. Jimmy walks over to Clark.
Meanwhile, Lois gives the flash drive to Sebastian. She assures Sebastian that she can keep a secret. Sebastian can trust her. Sebastian says that after being in a cage for 4 years, he doesn’t trust anybody.
In the street, Clark suggests to Jimmy to get some coffee.
Sebastian says he’ll never be locked up again. He’s about to shoot Lois when she hits the gun out of his hand. They fight to get the gun. Lois falls down and dials her cell. Sebastian charges toward her and she kicks him.
In the street, Chloe says that it’s almost time. Ollie just wants to get it over with. He slips a black mask over his eyes and prepares to shoot his bow.
As Clark and Jimmy step off the curb, Clark gets a phone call. It’s Lois. She calls for help. First, Sebastian is on the floor. Why doesn’t she go for the gun or run. Second, why would she call Clark? The last time she was in trouble she called Chloe. It would make sense if she knew (suspected) Clark had abilities (was the blur) but she doesn’t. So why call Clark? It’s contrived and silly.
Chloe prepares to speed toward Clark and Jimmy but Clark moves Jimmy back to the sidewalk. Er, Chloe, shouldn’t you have a disguise as well? Jimmy might potentially see you at the wheel of the car. Whatever. It’s a dumb plot. Ollie is confused. Chloe drives by Clark and Jimmy confused as well.
At the apartment, Lois and Sebastian continue to fight. Hey, Lois, here’s an idea. Why don’t you use your third degree black belt to fight?
Clark tells Jimmy that he needs to make a phone call. He’ll be right back. He zips off to the Talon.
Sebastian picks up the gun and points it at Lois. Clark whooses in. He holds Sebastian’s arm and lets him get a good look at him then throws him 30 feet. Lois, of course, is facing away from the action and slowly turns back to see Sebastian on the floor.
In the street, a masked man comes up to Jimmy. He orders Jimmy to come with him. On the rooftop, Ollie says that this isn’t part of the plan. He shoots an arrow that’s tied to a rope toward a flag pole. It twirls around the pole. Wearing a large red cape, Ollie slides down the rope, knocks the mugger out and lands on the other rooftop. The kidnapper’s accomplice drives off.
Clark walks up to Jimmy. He asks what happened. Jimmy incredulously asks if Clark expects him to fall for that. Jimmy is sure Clark just saved him. Clark denies it. He looks up. There is a guy on the roof wearing a red bellowing cape. Jimmy can’t believe it. People stop and point at Ollie. "Look up in the sky" someone says. Clark watches the reactions of the passersby. Superman music plays. Whoa. Nice.
At the DP the next day, Clark picks up a copy of the Daily Planet. On the cover is the headline "FASTER THAN A SPEEDING BULLET" with a picture of a blur. He looks around the bullpen. Everyone is talking about the hero. It’s a wonderful scene. Jimmy comes up to Clark. He apologizes for suspecting Clark. Clark congratulates Jimmy on his front page story. Clark replies that he’s honored Jimmy thought he could move at lightning speed. Jimmy says that there is a reason he thought Clark was the Good Samaritan. Clark jokes it’s because he likes Girl Scout cookies twice a year. Jimmy says that it’s because Clark can be counted on.
Lois wheels her chair to her desk. Clark says that he heard her date ended with a thud. He apologizes that he got the phone call too late. Lois says that it wasn’t a date. She was deep undercover with a psychopath. Huh? Lois got all dolled up and went on a date with Sebastian to find out what exactly? She had the evidence on the flash drive. What was she hoping for? Did she think Sebastian would nonchalantly admit that he was a prisoner at Black Creek over dinner? What would that prove? Whatever, Lois. Like I said above, natural selection – it’s only a matter of time.
Clark asks why Lois didn’t tell him she was working on a story. Lois says that if she told him, she’d be putting him in harm’s way. Okaay. That’s why when she was in mortal danger she called Clark?! WTH?
Jimmy shows Lois his front page story. Lois admits that she underestimated Jimmy. Lois says that she’s been saved twice and she’s a true believer in the red and blue superdude. Clark mentions that the mayor will announce the new fire chief at 10:00 AM. Lois is not impressed. Her new mission is to steal Jimmy’s story. She vows to use her "expert tracking skills" to find the camera shy superhero. Clark is not impressed. He wishes her good luck with that. Lois smugly says that she won’t stop till she lands the first worldwide exclusive interview. Shut up, Lois. Jimmy’s already broken the story. He had a theory and did the research long before you decided it was worth your time. Just STFU!
On Ollie’s jet, Ollie looks at the front page story. He tells Clark that he didn’t realize how photogenic Clark is. Did I mention that Clark is heavenly? Because he really is heavenly. Really. Ollie is surprised Clark let the article get printed. He thought he’d hear about a last minute computer meltdown at the Planet. Clark says that he’s been thinking. Maybe his destiny is more than secretly saving people. Maybe it’s to give people hope; someone to believe in. Oh, Clark. You’re growing up and you’re still listening to your best friend and confidante. *sniff*
Ollie reveals that he’s planning a summit with his friends that like to dress up and kick ass. Ollie admits that taking the punk down felt great. He’s not the party boy or the multinational corporate titan. He’s the Green Arrow. Ollie says that he understands why Clark didn’t tell him about his parents’ murders. He says that Clark was afraid of Ollie’s reaction and he was right. Oh, come on. Clark had no right to keep that from him. Ollie says that his parents wouldn’t have proud of the way he acted. Clark assures Ollie that his parents would be proud of who he’s become. Clark advises Ollie, however, never to wear the cape again. He looks ridiculous. Ollie says he liked it. It helped with the aerodynamics. He suggests Clark give it a try. Clark replies "Not in this lifetime". Sadly, this scene contradicts Clark’s reaction to the Zorro cape in "Thirst". He loved the cape but hated wearing a mask. Stupid writers.
At the hospital, Sebastian wakes up to find Chloiac looking over him. Chloiac is dressed in black with black gloves on. Sebastian asks who she is. Chloiac replies that he thought he might like a visitor. She calls him Wilson. Sebastian wants to know how she knows him. Choiac admits that she was in the facility with him and she knows about his ability. She asks about the man who touched him the night before. Sebastian reveals that the man shouldn’t have touched him. He belongs in Black Creek. Sebastian says Chloiac doesn’t seem special and asks why she was in there. As Chloiac slowly takes off her gloves, she explains that the human mind is a highly sophisticated computer. Download too much information and it crashes. And all the data is lost. Sebastian is confused. Chloiac offers to show him. She grabs his arm. Sebastian struggles then flatlines. Chloiac leaves the room as shouts of "code blue" can be heard. She blinks a few times like she’s confused. Whoa. Brainiac has temporarily taken complete control of Chloe. I wonder if she’ll be experiencing blackouts too just like Davis. Nice ending, Smallville.

Good review, and I would say, yeah--she probably is experiencing black outs at this stage. Lots of wanking taking place on the boards, especially amongst anti's.
As I recall, the sides for 8.09 make it pretty clear that she's researching this phenomenon at Met. Hospital and slips into that MRI machine. The only logical conclusion one can reach is that she's researching this because now she's the one losing time that she can't account for.
Good review, and I would say, yeah--she probably is experiencing black outs at this stage.
Thank you. I think Chloe's losing time too.
It's so obvious it's not Chloe. That speech "the human mind is a highly sophisticated computer. Download too much information and it crashes. And all the data is lost." - is so Brainiac.
And in the same ep she's uncomfortable about driving a speeding car at someone - even at Clark.
Thanks for commenting. :)
Nice review. You have a nice writing style that I enjoy reading. Hope you keep it up.
Thank you, canucklehead!
I just posted 8-8 "Bloodline" review.
